Our family dined at Spice Hut on January 4th, 2017. We arrived at 610 PM intending to have supper before attending a 725 pm movie. We were allowed to choose our own seats because there were just 2 other groups when we arrived. The server came right away to ask if we wanted beverages. We ordered tea and water. After bringing our beverages she took our order of aloo gobi, daal and okra (yes all vegetable entrees). We also ordered pappdaum and pekoras as appetizers. Our food cam within 15 minutes after sitting down. The dishes were tasty and we were full after finishing eating. The quantity and quality of food was excellent and we had enough leftover to take a doggie-bag. We asked for mild spic...
Great flavour, great heat in the dish, just the right amount when we asked for medium, it was so yummy in my mouth. The flavour started at the back of my palate and just rolled around the whole inside of my mouth. We had chicken biryani, (SO GOOD! best I've had yet) butter chicken (can't go wrong with this one), Shrimp Jalfrezi (never tried it before, don't know what I was missing until it arrived...yummy yummy, order this!). and of course papadums to start. I've eaten and cooked LOTS of Indian and this rates WAY up there. I'll be back, for sure. and brought home the take out menu for those super lazy nights.
Went for some Spice, and we found it, veggie samosas were good, the pakora only average, Lamb Masala was good , ordered it very hot and could still handle it. Our Dahl ordered mild was too hot for the Missus to handle, waitress was great and send us home with a not so hot version, the garlic naan was extraordinary.
Our first visit here in May didn't go well as we had a rude and impatient waitress. But craving Indian food we visited them again in September. Liked their flavours. Good food. We ordered a take out and it was pretty quick. Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
A spicy change from the usual. Butter chicken with the homemade naan is my go to dinner...delicious Family members have tried others, including vegetarian dishes and have been very happy with the food.
Both the privilege and the main dish were very tasteful. Butter chicken with garlic moon is recommended. You'll get service. All the time for a nice restaurant experience. definitely worth a visit.
Used to live in cranbrook, and this was our favourite place to eat (at least twice per week)!Kulfi (?) and butter chicken simply scrumptious! Best naan bread!We've since moved to Winnipeg

Forget about the decor and the location. If you want good Indian food go here. Staff is pleasant and quick. And the butter chicken is delicious.
