We’ve have used spice kitchen for several years now and normally have the same meal give or take a couple of changes. But the last meal was absolute rubbish !!!!! The chicken in a ‘chicken tikka morisa was not tikkaed, the meat was so dry it should of come with a free bottle of water to rehydrate it ! No longer all breast meat which it always was. Both curries were the wrong colour tasted totally wrong and had no flavour compared to the usual standard. Popadoms and sides were totally different too. Not sure if they have a new chef or what tbh but I’ve had better shop brought curries in the microwave! Which I’m pretty sure this curry was cooked in the same way. Terrible shame but now looking...
Food was late. Ordered king prawn kaharai and king prawn tikka masala. Only three prawns in each dish. How can you justify charging £9.95 for three prawns, which were not even fresh?! Really disappointed. Additionally, their menu states that they have a food hygiene rating of 5. This is false advertising. Looked them up on the food standards agency website afterwards and their rating is lower than what they claim. . . Approach with caution.
Ordered first time as reviews seemed ok.......food turned up...plastic container not opened yet plastic box turning in on itself....this only happens if you haveicriwaved the food. Called to enquire .....was told no they don't microwave their food !!!!! Asked for a refund. Apparently not available on f you book through hungry horse app......so don't !!!! Won't be using them again. I want real food ....not microwaved junk !!!!!!!!
Ordered on a Saturday so could see was in for a wait. Ordered for 6:15pm got an email to say would be 15min late. Arrived 5:30pm way earlier than wanted the food to arrive as ordered for family who were due to arrive after 6. This was my first time ordering from Spice Kitchen and I was impressed. The food was delicious, arrived hot, and definitely lived up to my expectations. I will definitely be ordering from them again in the future!
Although prices have increased significantly, the food quality remains excellent, surpassing that of most takeout options. There is a generous discount offered for orders over £20 that are collected.
The quality at this restaurant is consistently top-notch and they always deliver on time. I have no complaints about this place, it is hands down the best Indian restaurant in Stevenage.

Excellent friendly service, good quality food. My favourite takeaway. Nice and hot. It's Takeaway only and there's no resturant.
