Nose dived since our last visit. Something has changed. I 'll explain... The waiters used to be very attentive, take your coat to the cloakroom, sit you down, unfold your lapkin and place it over your lap for you, take your drinks order, place the menu in front of you, and give the impression they 're passionate about customer service. I booked a table for 10 people, we arrive, they take our coats and show us to our 'round ' table. The first customer service flaw, the waiter says he only has 5 menus and could we share. Then plonks them on the edge of the table and walks away. The waiter had a 'fed up ' vibe about him. He squinted every time we asked him a question, like he 'd rather be doing...
Such a nice restaurant, the atmosphere and lighting is great. Would definitely go with your other half or best friend. The food is amazing, portion size is good. We had two starters to share and then a main each. Spices also have an award winning cocktail maker called Alan. The cocktails are very very strong!! So be careful haha. The staff are all really lovely and friendly. Take your coat and ask you if the drinks, food, etc is all good. I haven’t got a bad thing to say about Spices. It’s full of locals and it’s always a nice vibe. Recommend if you are in the area. visited spices to my wife's birthday. eating and service is always 110% personal are great, friendly and welcoming and the place is immaculate clean and warm and welcoming. we had appetizers and main thing and the staff was so polite and helpful, nothing was too much for them. will return and recommend to visit all.
Recent visit celebrating a friend's birthday. Lovely food, lovely wine, great company, staff were smashing if not a little keen , but overall a great evening out at a decent price. Will be returning!
