I encountered very friendly staff during my visit, but unfortunately, the food did not meet expectations. None of us at the table finished our meals. When I asked for a pancake, I expected a hot, fresh, cooked-to-order one—not a frozen pancake that appeared nearly burnt and wouldn't even warm up. All the food served was cold; my niece's waffles didn’t have melted butter on them, nothing would melt at all. A gentleman came to our table to check on us and was incredibly kind, but he had a strong smell of cigarettes, which was quite off-putting, especially around the food and the chef preparing it. Quiet little Norman Rockwell type of diner complete with wood paneling. $15 for a country breakfast that did not come with pancakes, but did have big biscuits and gravy. I have been here twice, once with the love of my life and now with my mother and child, and both times I loved it. Kid-friendliness: High chairs and placemats. Staff is very friendly. Wheelchair accessibility: Wide isles and staff is accommodating. There are a few tables outside if you don't want to deal with carpet as well.
We have eaten at Spires for almost 20 years. It is the restaurant we go to when staying in that area. Delicious food at reasonable prices. Love the atmosphere that reminds us of 1950's-1960's California Restaurants. Friendly service and a very clean restaurant. One of our favorites.
The table was one sided, so we looked like the Last Supper. Too many egg options, and I was stupid and ordered raw eggs. There were enough straw wrappers to shoot across the table. Lemonade was pink ? Should’ve gone to Denny’s. Five stars Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
The staff is very friendly, and we were seated quickly. The menu offers a great variety of delicious food. It comes close to the country cooking we're used to back home.
