villars was pretty dead . Quiet a few restaurants were closed and all were empty. late ski season with poor snow. Le Sporting was no exception in that we were shortly the only diners. the waiter looked bored and service was actually a bit pedestrian given there was nobody else there. evidently we were keeping him from his dinner which he then sat down to at the table behind us.we had asparagus soup from the special asparagus menu, which was really good.probably worth another chance on a livelier night, as it was when I last ate here before this visit.

Viel Auswahl auf der Speisekarte, ein sehr traditionelles Ambiente, mit atemberaubender Aussicht am Tag. Wir hatten einen angenehmen Abend, aber kein atemberaubendes Essen. Der Service war schnell, die Portionen großzügig, die Erklärung der Speisekarte war kein Problem und das Personal war freundlich. Wie in allen Restaurants im Resort ist das Essen nicht billig. Nebenbei bemerkt, sie könnten ein paar Glühbirnen austauschen!

at the beginning of the stay, we went there twice as a suite: beautiful sun terrace and close to the hotel. However, a small disappointment for the fondue that was lacking in flavor. When our resident friends at villars recommended the alchemist, we no longer returned there because the latter's kitchen is indisputably superior to that of Sporting.Service ok.

The waiter was grumpy from the get go, then we found a hair in one of the plates and one of us was down with food poisoning two hours after the lunch. No one even came to talk to us about the hair. The person we talked to said we should have brought the plate back to the kitchen ourselves, that she couldn't do anything. No excuse, nothing. Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch

Nothing particularly wrong with this place - atmosphere was good, food just not up to that much really. Good menu with lots to choose from, perhaps this is one of the problems? Less is more? Seemed to be very popular though.

Tolles Essen und Service, tolle Terrasse und viele junge Leute! Auf jeden Fall ein Ort für einen Besuch mit Familie, Freunden und sogar für romantische Abendessen. Erstaunliches Restaurant. Sehr respektvolle Leute dort.

We went twice with our little daughter . good attention, excellent view, familiar and clean. I recommend the foundie of meat, the exotic fruit salad and for children the pizzas.

Wife and 2 granddaughters ate here one evening. Waiter was attentive and the food was excellent and reasonably priced. Good place.
