I visited st Andrew 's and st George 's west church, as it was a festival venue. I was impressed by the interior. Beautiful stained glass windows. High ceiling, almost a dome shaped ? Incredible, creative, art work all around the premises. The set up with the pews, for when the church is functioning as a church, gave the show extra points for the venue alone. The venue made the show enjoyable as there was a pleasant atmosphere. Of which I find from churches generally. Many people may not agree, this is personally how I felt about this venue. The show was a choir so it was fitting to be at this venue as the sound from singing in an echoing church can pose it 's challenges I guess, plus serve...

they have in the regular a few suppening, a few nets, some salads and sandwiches. a selection of cold drinks, a few hot drinks. sometimes a pudding like apple crumbs. I attended some concerts during the festival, in the church above, and some other events in the book festival, the other end of the george street. the underfloor was a good place to have a light lunch and a drink between the events. (this also applies outside the festival period.) beautiful homemade suppe. slightly lubricated like cauliflower cheese or a bowl chili. a little bit of a side salad with everyone usually with herb and some green. nothing spectacular, but I guess it 5* because it is what it is and the personal so fri...

The restaurant offers a variety of soups, salads, sandwiches, cold and hot drinks, and occasional desserts like apple crumble. I visited during the festival and found it a convenient spot for a light lunch and drink between events. The homemade soups were delicious, with options like cauliflower cheese or chili. The atmosphere was cozy and welcoming, perfect for a relaxing meal. You don't need a fancy menu to enjoy a good meal here.

Called in for lunch, first time, as everywhere else was too crowded. Excellent soup and shared a plate of sandwiches brie with cranberry jelly per person). Both tasted great large serving of soup. Second time we needed a coffee and we...headed straight there. There was a charity fund raising coffee morning taking place excellent! entry and tea/coffee plus cake or biscuits (think you could get as much as you wanted). Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch

A lovely tearoom tucked away at the back of the kirk, with fresh homebaking and nourishing soups. Nice and very helpful volunteers who go out of their way to help everyone. It's definitely worth stopping by for a breether. The kirk itself is beautiful and worth a visit.
