Save your time and money and avoid this restaurant at all costs. We stayed at the hotel for two nights and decided to try the restaurant on our first night. The menu was disappointing, with nothing appealing, and the prices were outrageous. I ordered the spicy noodles, and when I asked if it was a large portion, the server assured me it was. To my surprise, it was a tiny bowl and lacked any flavor—$19 wasted! My wife ordered rice and chicken for $24; the cost to make that dish couldn't have been more than $4. The food was terrible, and we left still hungry after spending $65 for a meal. Don't subject yourself to this disappointment—eat elsewhere. Honestly, you might want to consider staying...
The menu offered a variety of options, though some dishes were more successful than others. The Carbonara was a comforting classic, and while the Salmon was slightly overcooked, it was still enjoyable. On the contrary, the Stir Fry lacked the bold flavors one would hope for, and the Calamari unfortunately had a somewhat soggy texture. However, the dessert selection provided a delightful turnaround. The Crème Brûlée was a luscious treat, and the Cheesecake certainly met our expectations. Although drink refills could have been more prompt, the overall dining experience was enjoyable. Stages presents a refined dining atmosphere that could truly shine with a few adjustments.
We are staying at the Double Tree by Hilton in West Edmonton. We had breakfast at the hotel's restaurant Stages Kitchen and Bar. Our server Eta went above and beyond. She always ensured we had fresh coffee and made sure all of our needs were met. She was so friendly and treated us like family. The breakfast buffet was excellent and good value for the money. Looking forward to going back for breakfast during the rest of our stay.
I had high expectations for this restaurant during my stay, which lasted a few days. The breakfast buffet offered a nice variety, but the à la carte menu was a different experience altogether. I was served previously frozen vegetables and chicken that had an unpleasant odor. The kitchen really needs to address the quality of the food being served. Incredibly overpriced mediocre food. $40 for a greasy steak laid on top of some fries.I stayed for a couple of drinks and didn't get a refill or the bill for over 45 minutes. Service was basically non-existent after 7pm.I could have tolerated the absent service if the food had actually been decent. I've had a better meal at Humptys.Nice ambiance though.
I had an excellent experience for my birthday. The food and service were amazing, just like during my previous visits. To top it off, the manager kindly removed the cost of my meal and dessert from the bill. It was a wonderful evening and made for a memorable birthday!
