Was this restaurant recommended by a friend and I am here to hand the recommendation to everyone on Google! Really spacious, classic Greek restaurant atmosphere with delicious, family-run dishes. We ordered the Grape Leaves (best I’ve had), Fried Squid, Fried Cheese, Stuffed Cabbage, and a 1.5 lbs Red Snapper. We deleted our plates because it was so good! Although the staff is often busy, their service was friendly and very accommodating. Pita and Dessert are included!
This restaurant offers truly authentic Greek cuisine. Many Greek places in New York tend to serve dishes that are overly Americanized, which can be frustrating. However, the food at Stamatis brings back memories of dining in Greece. The prices are reasonable, and I particularly enjoy their seafood options. I find myself visiting often.
This restaurant offers authentic Greek cuisine with a straightforward approach. The fish is fantastic—perfectly grilled and generously drizzled with olive oil and lemon. The souvlaki is excellent as well, truly a standout dish. Overall, this is one of the better Greek restaurants in Astoria.

This restaurant was recommended by a local so we planned to have dinner here while visiting Astoria. It became the most memorable dinner of our whole NY trip! Staff is genuine and friendly. The food was just amazing. We loved the atmosphere. We will definitely come back when visiting NY.
Amazing Greek food and can't beat it for the price. I've visited twice, ate outside, and always delighted. We ordered Greek salad, dip platter of four different types, grilled octopus, and shared a lamb kebab platter for our entree with lemon potatoes and equally enjoyed all items.
Delicious, authentic Greek food that tastes just like what Grandma used to make. Plus, you’re treated to a complimentary piece of galatoboureko at the end of your meal—how delightful!
Best greek restaurant in North America. Grandma cooked options or the standard Greek fare. Lots of seafood options as well. Mr. Stamati is just the sweetest man!!!

Excellent Greek restaurant. Food was extremely fresh and flavorful. Such a great value- can't wait to go back. One of the best Greek restaurants in NYC.
