I visited the Starbucks on West Genesee Street in Fairmount, NY, across from Target (not the one in Target) and placed my drink order at 11:44am. The wait time was minimal, only 5 minutes, which was acceptable. However, there was a person at the front of the counter chatting with customers instead of assisting the 4 girls who were actually preparing the drinks and food. It took until 12:26pm for me to receive my last drink, a chai, after ordering 4 drinks - 3 frappuccinos and 1 iced chai. The frappuccinos, which were ordered last at 11:52am, were served first. I usually don't leave reviews, but I parked in a different parking lot because it was easier to get in and out. The layout was terrible, but I walked in anyway. It was Christmas Eve, but surprisingly, the inside was empty and there weren't many cars in the drive-thru. I ordered at 2:05 PM and I'm usually patient, but they were only focused on drive-thru and mobile orders. I understand the need to be timely, but it took 30 minutes for one drink, even though there was no one being served inside until we spoke up. I just wanted my coffee and to go home to spend the day inside. I know it was a holiday, but it wasn't that busy. The staff told me and another lady that there were a lot of mobile or...

Sorry to review this low; however, on more than 1 recent occasion, i have waited in the drive-thru line for a half hour and have not had my order recited back to me, which has led to receiving what I DID NOT order. This is becoming unacceptable at such a “hot” SB location.PLEASE, PLEASE repair the digital menu in the drive-thru that lists order info. It has not worked in years and would help to ensure order precision. It is also an ugly eyesore with sticky residue all over it.Please staff your location properly, update or repair your equipment as needed, and invest more highly and consistently in your customer base. I’ve been sitting in the drive thru line for about 45 minutes at this point. Have watched people walk in and out that have been ordering at the counter. Sat in silence at the speaker for close to ten minutes until an employee said one word to me. The design of the drive thru blocks you in so you’re entirely stuck and can’t drive off if you have somewhere to be. I understand being busy, but this is just unacceptable even for a Saturday.Update- guy in a Chevy cruise wanted to complain at the window. DO NOT be this guy. Go inside to complain. The lemonade at this Starbucks location is not kept in the cooler like at other Starbucks. When I order the strawberry acai without ice, it is served at room temperature and gives me a stomach ache. Asking for extra lemonade results in baristas giving me the same amount as normal. When I request a drink with light ice, it ends up being filled with ice. The male employee with a beard and glasses keeps the handcrafted beverages from mobile orders at the drive-thru, even when customers come inside the store. The staff does not seem to prioritize customer service.

This is disappointing because we are loyal Starbucks customers and visit our location in Tampa daily. This was the worst Starbucks we have been to. We no exaggeration waited in drive through line for just under 30 mins. And we are not talking about a long line, was barely around the side of the building. Inside wasn’t any better. If we didn’t place a mobile order we would have left. Then to top it off the coffee was terrible, and the cup had sticky syrup on the outside with no sleeve.

They hilariously are now asking for tips. My two small coffees for $15 wasn't enough apparently. I swear Starbucks could pay their employees $100 an hour and still profit with their prices. It's not our job to pay your staff to hand the coffee we purchased out the window.
