I had a terrible experience at this restaurant. I visited twice, and both times the same staff member served me my coffee. Unfortunately, they had a strong scent of perfume or lotion that lingered on the drink. I really don't think anyone working in a dining environment should be excessively wearing perfume or lotion, especially when interacting with customers who are eating and drinking. It was absolutely off-putting. I won't be returning. I might have given it a chance after the first visit, but the second time was just unacceptable. I hope the management addresses this issue.
Came here and ordered 2x large black tea's with nothing in them. Right from the start the girl sounded like she wanted nothing to do with being at work that day. I get to the window and they bring out 2x chai latte's. I inform her that I ordered black tea's and she apologized. Took 10 more minutes to come out with 2 black teas, which now after verifying were not black tea's for the second time. I wound up just taking the drinks and leaving because I could not stand to be in this place any longer. Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1
We have never experienced such rudeness before. We ended up with no drinks and no refund. We ordered two frozen strawberry lemonade drinks, but they forgot to add the lemonade. The staff member who prepared the drinks was incredibly unpleasant, which left my daughter in tears. I will never return to this Starbucks in Lakewood, NJ, and I cannot recommend it to anyone. I ordered oatmeal twice before but they were out of it. Today, I ordered oatmeal again, and when I got home, I found only the oatmeal and a spoon in the bag—nothing else. It seems like there’s a constant turnover of staff at this restaurant. The drinks take a long time to prepare when ordered through the app. They sometimes shut down the app for this location because the corporate office isn't providing enough employees to operate efficiently.
The restaurant no longer offers any sugar-free options, which is disappointing, especially with their vanilla-flavored offerings. It can be quite boring for those who are trying to watch their calorie intake.
I really love my team in Lakewood, especially my Monday crew. They always greet me with a smile, make my coffee just right, and I’m in and out in no time. It's always a pleasure to work with them!
