The staff at this Starbucks are consistently friendly, polite, and knowledgeable, even when dealing with some entitled and rude customers who think it's acceptable to showcase their arrogance. These are challenging times for retail businesses, as they must comply with the law, and customers at Starbucks also need to do the same—no one is above the law. Overall, this Starbucks rarely misses the mark with my favorite drink, and I truly appreciate everything they do. They certainly do not deserve the unreasonable comments from a few narrow-minded visitors.
Our experience at Starbucks was disappointing. We were not informed that the store would be closing soon until after we had placed our order and started receiving our drinks. At that point, we were abruptly told, "The store is closed." When we requested a refund, it was denied. To make matters worse, the manager, Ekta, implied that we had intentionally ordered our drinks knowing the store was about to close, just to get the drinks and then seek a refund. I strongly advise against visiting this location! My recent experience was incredibly disappointing. The staff were confrontational and unwelcoming. My toastie and wrap were carelessly handed to me after I paid. They refused to accept cash and insisted on card payments. When I inquired about this, they became rude and insulting. Overall, it was a truly awful experience. Additionally, the restrooms were in a filthy and unsanitary condition.
I visited the Starbucks at Banbury Gateway and had a disappointing experience. In the morning, it would be nice to be welcomed with a smile or even just a simple "hello." Unfortunately, the three staff members seemed completely uninterested in serving customers, barely making eye contact and not offering any friendly words. Thankfully, the coffee was acceptable, but I won't be returning.
