We used to visit this location quite often but haven't had a chance to stop by for quite some time. Came in on a Wednesday evening for dinner and were seated right away. I love the look of the bar as it is beautiful. The restaurant had a faint sewage type of smell we noticed almost immediately.Server was friendly and got our orders through. Asked for a recommendation and the Royal Bangkok Bowl is what I settled with. My wife had the Chicken Enchiladas.We started with the lettuce wraps which were okay. I'd like to start by saying that the food and drinks were delicious, and our service did improve with the second server we had. However, we were somewhat disappointed with the service at State Main during our recent dinner for a bachelorette party this past Friday. We had made a reservation for 14 people well in advance. When we arrived, it took quite a while for our server to come to our table, even longer to take our drink order, and then she informed us that she was ending her shift and would not take our food order. As a result, we had to wait about 45 minutes before we could place our food orders, and our dinner didn't arrive until after 8:30 PM, despite having a reservation for 7:30 PM...
I would like to share my thoughts on the service I received during my visit. The server who assisted me for 90 minutes was exceptionally friendly and attentive, checking in to see if I needed more water after my long walk. The bathrooms were well-maintained, featuring soap, paper towels, and touch-free faucets, which is a great way to minimize germs. The restaurant itself felt very spacious. While the food prices were somewhat high, I didn't mind since I needed the calories to replenish my energy after my walk. I definitely plan to return in the future, though it may not be anytime soon.
When arrived, I found my guests, sat down and the waitress took about a good 5 to 7 minutes to come and see what I wanted to drink, then shortly after our last guest arrived another 5 to 7 minutes she arrived to take his drink order. Baja Fish Tacos and Butter Chicken were tasty. Service was wonderful. Great place to meet up with friends. We were well taken care of and had a great experience at State and Main.
The food was excellent, and the drinks were very unique and delicious Would definitely recommend for a more mature audience as the environment is very sophisticated
