Today, I placed a delivery order from this restaurant and ran into some problems. According to their pickup instructions, I was supposed to go inside to pick up my order. My previous visit had been fine, but when I arrived today, I parked in the lot and headed to the entrance, only to find both doors locked. While I was waiting, three cars pulled into the drive-thru, followed by two more. I quickly realized I didn't want to wait around for 30 minutes in line when my order was likely already ready. Unfortunately, the customers behind me were probably facing the same issue, struggling to find a driver willing to sit in that long line. Could you please reconsider the portion size of the Chili 5-Way? It used to be served in a reasonably sized container, but now it comes in a soup cup, which clearly holds much less. This is the third time that Steak 'n Shake has reduced the size of the 5-Way over the years, and it feels like it's now about half of what it used to be. After the last reduction, it seems to be around 25% smaller than before, and at this point, it's just not worth the price. I suggest either bringing back the original container size or lowering the price because I won’t be ordering this again otherwise.
I just got home with my order and couldn't be more disappointed. I received two chili dishes in flimsy styrofoam burger containers, and the portions were only about half of what I expected. To make things worse, the containers were leaking grease everywhere. Instead of cheese fries, I got regular fries. On top of that, the food tasted awful and was barely lukewarm. Is this location closing down? I definitely wouldn’t recommend coming here. They deserve zero stars for their complete lack of effort!
The fries are consistently hot and fresh, and although the shakes can be a bit melty at times, I really appreciate the large straws that come with them. The shakes are generally delicious! That said, the medium fry portion is a bit on the small side, and the windows could use some cleaning. Overall, though, this Steak 'n Shake is fantastic. It's unfortunate that so many locations are shutting down.

The restaurant has been intermittently closed for the past three months, with most of that time being completely shut down. If you visit, you'll find two white sheets of paper on the side doors indicating that it's temporarily closed, but there are no dates or times provided. I wouldn’t recommend wasting your time or effort trying to go there.
The dining room was closed, so I had to use the drive-thru. When I reached the window, they initially handed me the wrong order. We also had to wait for our shakes, and when we finally got them, the dairy in the shakes had soured, which resulted in a stomach ache. I used to really enjoy Steak 'n Shake, so I was quite disappointed.
I’ve ordered from Steak 'n Shake twice, and both experiences were terrible! The food was cold and completely flavorless. I wouldn’t recommend this place at all.
