I picked up a BBQ pizza roll-up for dinner and I've been visiting Steffanos since I was a kid, about thirty-seven years now. I've never had any issues with the quality before. However, when I picked up my order, the bag felt unusually light. Upon opening it, I discovered that the roll-ups were half the size they used to be, just a month ago. The BBQ roll-up was even smaller than the pizza one. I went back inside and asked a staff member why they were so small. They told me that other workers might be making them too large, but it shouldn’t mean that they are significantly smaller for the price. It just doesn’t seem right to pay nearly $6.00 for something so small.
My first and only experience at Steffano’s was last week, and it was fantastic. I ordered two of the three-foot party subs. What I really appreciated was that they were able to package all the ingredients separately to prevent the bread from getting soggy. The bread and meat were both fresh and delicious. They only required a 24-hour notice, which was reasonable, and I also received a $10 deposit back when I returned the cutting board used for the broth. I had this for a presentation, and everyone loved the food. I will definitely come back, and maybe I'll add more tomatoes next time!
This is undoubtedly the best sandwich shop in the city. They offer a wide variety of options, use fresh ingredients, and the taste is far superior to anything else.
