Let 's start with the food first. I think the chef has made the food over complicated. Okay with the first course but disappointed afterward. For each course, there is a mixture of everything, which gives diners like us feel a bit 'lost '. From one moment you were deep in the raw fish world of the oriental side, to the richness of the local cheesy sauce. Don 't get me wrong, this type of contrast can be achieved but require exceptional execution. I was extremely disappointed with the main course beef was overcooked and there were multiple different 'components ' that can easily distract the quality that the chef aims to achieve (a good English pub can easily surpass this restaurant . I think...
we chose the restaurant a little by chance, drawn by the attractive map. We had the surprise to see that the leader had just obtained his deserved first star. We went there at noon and ordered the surprise menu. the three dishes that made this menu were excellent, well balanced, quite copyy. excellent mouths accompanying the aero. the chief, very friendly came to greet us at the end of the service. beautiful discovery
This restaurant itself is worth a trip to Dijon. The dining room is lovely and we were warmly welcomed. Each dish was sumptuous and the trout dish exceeded all expectations. The arrangement of each dish and such lovely attention to detail made this experience one to treasure. Pairing the courses with wines added to our enjoyment. The staff was very attentive and gave excellent service.
Called at last moment and lucky to obtain a table. Lovely welcome to a very upmarket restaurant.Astonishing standard of cuisine (wine list needs studying in advance) but sommelier makes good choices.Had the ‘suprise ‘ menu which was so very fresh and vibrant. The chef came round after service which is a lovely touch and it was an honour to meet him .
