We were visiting the area and my husband is Celiac. We researched the restaurants in the area and found that this restaurant had many items on the menu as GF, so we decided to try it. As a family with a Celiac person, one knows what GF is and that all restaurants will not or could not be 100% gluten free but have mastered the preparation for a true Celiac person to feel safe to order off their GF side of the menu. When we were greeted, even before we sat down we asked the greeter and identified our party as Celtic. She said it won’t be a problem and to talk more with our server. I just had the most incredible meal at this restaurant. I ordered the salmon BLT burger topped with maple Dijon glaze, bacon, lettuce, tomato, cheddar, and garlic mayo (without the bun). For my side, I chose the Asiago, zucchini, and roasted corn soup, which was so delicious that I could easily come back and have it again later today. The food was fresh and flavorful, and the service was quick and friendly. On top of that, there’s a stunning view of the bay. I highly recommend this place!
During our visit to Sooke Potholes Provincial Park, we decided to dine at Stickleback Eatery. We ordered the meat pasta and some cauliflower bites, and everything was fantastic! It was so good that we forgot to take a photo for our food and adventure blog. The staff was courteous, and we thoroughly enjoyed the sunny waterfront view. We will definitely return, and we also appreciated the friendly duck that greeted us at the entrance!
This place is absolutely fantastic! My friends and I visited after a long day of hiking on the island, and we were truly impressed by the quality of the food and the excellent customer service. Be there a couple times now. What's for breakfast with friends which was amazing. Came back for burgers and lunch after a long walk on the goose. Not a fan of stickleback sauce it's like mustard with maybe dill? Great service, wonderful views, good prices, tasty food.
Cozy restaurant with nice oceanfront view. There was a long wait but it was worth wait. 3 of us shared a cup of claim chowder (very tiny), chicken wings, pulled pork bowl and fish chips. Chicken wings were very dry. Fish chips were crispy and surprisingly tasty.
I hadn't been in a number of years so was happy they had room for us even though the parking lot was full.Service was quick and the server was super friendly and helpful with great suggestions for our meal.We are already looking forward to our next visit.
