Maybe it was a aberration, but our visit was a big disappointment. of the waitress who told us the wrong supplement to non-creamy creamy creamy spinat to order ordered medium rare and medium well delivered, the entire experience made a bad taste in our mouth. if they strive to the fine kitchen and the corresponding fees, they should deliver. I think they wanted to be something they weren't. I wouldn't go back.
We first came to Stillwater almost years ago. We were amazed to find a restaurant of such excellence in a small town. Over the years we have visited several times and have never been disappointed. Stillwater Inn does everything right. Chef Bill Stewart prepares wonderful dishes and Sharon Stewart provides an pleasant house....this is fine dining.
we stumbled a few years ago during our annual trip to east texas over the stillwater inn. Since then we've been back every year. the personal is friendly. it's a favorite place. I just wish we had made it to east texas more often.

if they live in East Texas or are there at a visit, a trip to historic jefferson can be a great day or weekend. the stillwater inn is a wonderful bed
First of all let me start out by saying, WOWI live in Houston, came to Longview for a weekend getaway- ended up at the Stillwater inn in Jefferson.
