I'm not quite sure what went wrong during our visit, but our food arrived cold, and we had to return it. When it came back to our table, it was still cold. Don't get me wrong; the food here is usually excellent—I just don't understand what happened today. However, I have to commend the outstanding customer service, which really turned things around. The staff was friendly and extremely helpful. The gentleman who took our order made some excellent suggestions, and all the servers were very polite. They seemed genuinely concerned about our cold food, but unfortunately, it still wasn't warm when it was served again.
The prices have become quite high; I understand that all restaurants have raised their rates, but paying $18.99 for a small boneless chicken breast and mashed potatoes (which comes to $24 with tax and tip) feels excessive. However, I enjoy their food, so I decided to treat myself. Upon arriving at the restaurant, I received a text instructing me to click a link, and they would bring my food to my car. After waiting 15 minutes, I went inside only to find my food sitting on a shelf and cooling off. I don’t mind going in to pick up my food, but don’t offer a service that you can’t deliver on.
I’m not sure what happened with the food during my visit. It arrived cold, and we had to send it back. Unfortunately, when it came back, it was still cold. Normally, the food here is quite good, so I'm not exactly sure what went wrong this time. However, I must say that the exceptional customer service saved the day. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. The cashier who took our order made some excellent recommendations, and all the servers were very accommodating. They seemed genuinely concerned that our food was cold, but sadly, it remained that way.
The Tri-Tip was so good, it was gone before I could even remember to take a picture. The place had a ton of employees but almost all of them were behind the counters assisting the kitchen. It was a bit surprising to see basic utensils and things like boxes missing or not where they were supposed to be, especially considering how large the team was that morning. Stonefire has always had great food and service, even when it's busy they'll find a table for you while you order. Their salads are the best, especially the South of the Border. I still haven't found a place that offers a better salad. The meats are as good as they look and their pizza is one of the best around, especially when it's fresh. I've never had a bad experience there.
My experience at the restaurant was disappointing, especially given the high prices. The chopped salad with tri-tip had potential, but the meat was shredded and unappetizing. Unfortunately, I wouldn't consider returning to this establishment. On a brighter note, the service was commendable; the waitstaff were polite and attentive.

Tables and floor were dirty. I had to wipe down my own table and seats with a few napkins from my purse. The only reason I gave it three stars is bc the food was pretty good but the food is extremely over priced! I wouldn't go back but my friend wants me to try their pizza. We'll see?! Love their menudo! Staff is very friendly. Actually all their food has been really good. Besides Mexican dishes, they also have traditional American breakfast which is good.
