I ordered a bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich with cooked onions on a slightly toasted everything bagel. I truly can't understand how a cook or owner would allow such low-quality food to leave the kitchen, as if they believe customers won’t notice or that it will be too late by the time they do. I won’t be going back to this place, and I can’t recommend it to anyone. It was evident that little effort was put into my meal—the bagel was burnt, and the onions were so stringy that they were inedible. I ended up throwing the sandwich away because it was too far to return.
The new management and name have really damaged this bagel shop. I've been coming to Strathmore since high school, and ever since it changed from Big Time Bagels, the portions have shrunk, they no longer include a drink with a sandwich, prices have skyrocketed, and the service is terrible. My order has been wrong the last three times I visited. It’s definitely time to find a new bagel spot. Everyone I speak to feels the same way. Such a shame to ruin one of the best bagel places in the area.
This will be my first and last visit here. There was no proper greeting, and when I asked a question, I was met with silence or a mumbled, unfriendly response. I paid $8 for two bagels, yet the guy didn’t even include napkins in the bag. The bagels themselves were stale, and the cream cheese didn’t taste fresh. The scallion cream cheese had absolutely no flavor, which was very disappointing.
This location has recently changed management and has a new name. Make sure to look at the storefront so you don't get confused by the staff inside. Prices have increased, portion sizes have gotten smaller, and I was not given the correct change. I won’t be coming back here and will instead opt for the authentic Strathmore Bagels in Stony Brook.

The home fries were cold and appeared outdated—so overcooked that they were hard—and rather than being served nice cubes of potato, I received only crumbled bits. At over $12, the value just isn’t worth it. I wouldn’t recommend dining here unless it’s your only choice. I would have preferred going to IHOP or driving to another bagel shop.
This bagel shop is an excellent choice for breakfast and lunch. The staff is friendly and accommodating, although it appears that there is a high turnover rate. It tends to get quite busy on weekends, so it's a good idea to call in your order during peak hours.
This is, without a doubt, the best bagel I’ve ever had in New York! It features a delightfully crispy exterior and a soft, chewy interior. The cream cheeses are fantastic as well!
The bagels are delightfully flavorful and perfectly soft, the cream cheese is exceptional, the service is excellent, and there's an impressive selection to choose from.
