I had visited this restaurant a year ago with friends and loved it, so I decided to take my partner there last weekend. Our booking was for 8 pm and when we got there my first reaction was that I had made the right choice. The atmosphere, the lighting, the hospitable staff were all as I had remembered. We ordered two starters: one Thai chicken dish and the Betal Leaf Dish. The chicken was over-fried, poisonously-salted, hard-to-find-the-chicken nuggets that made a drive-through fast food joint seem like haute cuisine. The Betal Leaf dish was a good idea gone wrong - the combination of textures and flavours just did not work. We then had our main dishes: the fish curry and a tiger prawn dish....
my husband surprised me with a dinner 'date'at Suburban Table.what a lovely evening....the ambiance in the restaurant is fantastic. It is a small restaurant but the tables are not too close together and large enough to accommodate all the dishes.The service is exceptional, our waitress Petra was the best I have experienced for a long time in Perth. She was attentive but not overbearing, very knowledgeable about the menu and wine list and clearly enjoys her job.The menu is very limited but everything we ordered was delicious.Presentation was beautiful and all tasted great. The desserts are amazing...homemade!It is a little pricey but well worth the money.We will most definitely be back, thank...
This is the second visit to the restaurant and the cuisine has changed to Asian fusion which is OK but different to what we expected.The atmosphere is cosy and the staff friendly and attentive. However, the food was inconsistent, the entree's of scallops and tempura vegetables were good, but the main course was a let down. The steak was not served medium/rare and was not tender, the duck was overly oily, but the prawn linguine was great. The desert was the best meal of the night, a chocolate brownie. We may come back again but we wont rush back.......
When I try and think of a reliable recommendation in my area, I usually fall back on this restaurant. It may not be a Michelin hat but it is consistently excellent food which is not going to disappoint. It is quite expensive but worth it - not always the case with Perth restaurants.Thus, when I got the offer of a birthday dinner recently, I requested Suburban Table...and had a lovely evening.

Food in this cosy little suburban restaurant is a delightful balance of great Asian fusion flavours. Service is warm, helpful and efficient. Menu specials on Tuesdays and Wednesdays of a Main and glass of wine is a good way to give this lovely eatery a try. Have eaten here many times and always walk away very happy with our dining experience.
Nice place and good service but the price I felt was very high considering it was gourmet hawker food. My exmouth prawns were over cooked and sickly sweet, same with the betel leaf entree. Balance of salt and sweet needs working on. Considering the high rating with TripAdvisor, it could be that we are just very fussy eaters.
We celebrated my wife's 50th birthday with family on the 17th Feb and it was a fantastic night!The food was once again impeccable and service terrific.Thanks to Kelly, Josh and the crew - so lucky to have such great food so close to home.We are massive fans - keep it up team!
Suburban Table is small but has a nice welcoming atmosphere. Staff are attentive and friendly. Food is interesting and attractively presented. We do enjoy this little restaurant coming here quite often!

I was taken on a date here last Winter and the service was just flawless. My date and I had a fabulous meal, wine was delicious, and all in all we had a sensational time
