I guess it's comforting to find a logo that you recognize, but this seems so out of place in quaint Chemainus. When I first arrived here I did stop in to Subway for a $5 sub. It was fine. But after a day spent in the town you realize that there are so many better options that are not big chains, locally owned and operated that are so much better.
We were looking for a standard Subway meal, and that is what we got. Service was adequate... no smiles, no extra interaction with customers. If the staff were a bit friendlier I would be more prepared to recommend this place.There is lots of competition just a block away -- not chain restaurants, but very nice, and friendly!
The servers were less than patient with 3 grandkids and myself. They felt rushed and not given opportunity to choose all they wished to have on their subs. This is the second and last time there. Perhaps more work on the staff manners and ability to deal with busy times.
What can I say, it is Subway. The sandwich I ordered was Identical to the one I had in Toronto. Sandwich was good, staff seemed friendly, place was clean. Stop in for a sub.
We stopped to pick up sandwiches, and this location is much like other Subways. Food is consistent and options good. Staff were friendly.
subways high standards with awesome service. go there more than twice and they will remember you. clean washrooms and lots of parking.
Very nice staff. Very polite to us during our time there. Food was as good as we would expect to have at Subway....no complaints.
nothing special about Subway..they are all the same. Fine if you want to pick up a quick sandwich. Bonus is 'having it your way'
Friendly , fast and clean. And tasty. Love the outside design of the building as well. Very appropriate for the town.
