The cafe located inside Neath Indoor Market is quite popular, often requiring a wait for a table. Known for its faggots and peas, during the winter months they also offer Welsh Cawl for £3.25 a bowl, which is delicious. In addition to these dishes, they also serve sandwiches, full meals such as sausage, egg, and chips, or a homemade option like the corner beef pie. The cafe offers a variety of savory choices, but we especially enjoy their homemade lemon meringue pie, which we chose to have with our cup of tea today. They also have homemade fruit pies, rice pudding, bread pudding, and sponge cake available. We are frequent visitors to this cafe and would highly recommend it to others.
A few weeks ago, my partner and I visited Neath for the first time and stumbled upon this charming café while exploring the market. Intrigued, we decided to give it a try. We were delighted with our experience. We opted for the Faggots and Peas, which we dare say were the best we've ever had in a café. We enjoyed our visit so much that we ended up going back three times. The staff were friendly and we even met some lovely people while dining at Sue's. During our last visit, I indulged in a slice of Apple Pie with ice cream, which was delicious. Despite being a small café, there was a wide variety of food choices at very reasonable prices. We definitely plan on returning soon.
My mother in law, step daughter and I called in here for some quick lunch during the food festival at the start of the month, ideal place to rest our feet and plan the rest of our shopping trip. The food was fresh and tasty, I had a lovely bacon sandwich, my step daughter, pie and onion gravy and my mother in law a toasty. It was clean, the service was excellent and prices reasonable. Will be going back soon. (possibly to try the Cawl as it looked amazing)
Myself and my partner stopped her for a bit of lunch whilst shopping. The staff are friendly and prices are very reasonable. I had the chip butty and my partner had the ham, egg and chips we both had a can of pop. It came to under £10 for the both of us. We didn't have to wait too long for the food. I used to frequent this restaurant for its food, but during my visit last week, I discovered a fake eyelash in my meal. It was clear that the girl working behind the counter, who wears fake eyelashes, was the source. This is a clear violation of health and safety regulations in a food establishment. I was completely disgusted by this experience.
This delightful cafe in Neath Market is a really find. Lots of the food is home baked, the deserts are stunning. I had the faggots , peas and chips, which was delicious. The portion sizes are big and the food is very tasty. The service is friendly and first rate. Prices are very reasonable.
sue made my twin and I made our 60th birthday cake. it was amazing and tasted devine. she had delivered the cake for our birthday party to a local hotel and the personal could be illuminated with candles. the cake funnel was personalized for my sister and I. would be highly recommended.
Busy cafe in the indoor market. Prices are reasonable and the food is quite good. However, one of the waitresses is extremely rude to the customers and, in the time I was there, she upset my friend and a lady on an adjoining table with her abrupt remarks. Will not go back there. Stopped here for lunch while doing some Xmas shopping in Neath. The faggots and peas were incredible and the service was equally good. Great price and nice and easy lunch. Would return.
