Got an opportunity to attend a business dinner with coworkers. We did a quick search of the area and ended up at Sullivan. We were greeted and seated quickly. We did go at a great time as before the rush hour. The restaurant was not really crowded at this point. We sat and rotted before someone asked us if we wanted water. We answered yes, but she disappeared and we still didn't have water or a drink. After a while, another person asked if he could get us some water. He brought enough for 3 of the 4 guests, and still no hint of a before dinner drink. Shannon was incredible as our waitress. We received an email about your tomahawk and lobster special which prompted us to make a reservation. We were greeted by a hostess that simply pointed and told us to take the first booth on the left. The menus were on the seats of the booth. Not what I expect from a premier steakhouse . Shannon and the manager jumped through hoops to overcome the apathy of your hostesses. When leaving, I stopped at the host stand and told the hostess that the dining experience started with her so she should be more attentive and welcoming. Her flippant attitude confirmed that she could not care less about the customer experience. I understand good help is hard to find...
We normally eat at Sully 's in Charlotte. This Raleigh restaurant is situated in the bar alley area of town. Not upscale at all on a Friday night. The meal was almost 3 hours long. The lobster bisque was actually tons of chewy shrimp in water and curry. When we sent it back, they took it off the bill and explained someone prepared it incorrectly. Then we ordered lobster mashed potatoes and they covered it in the same bisque . They recommended that we order our filets one level more done. That was a mistake. Our medium ended up being medium well. Still tasted good. When we ordered dessert, it took so long. The waiter finally came back and apologized saying that a 30 dessert order went in righ...
The service is amazing. ...food/the ribeye was topnotch and the ambience just right. I called to reserve, but was advised to just walk in and still got an amazing table. Had a rosè wine by glass, totally enjoyed that too. Seating is a bit squeezed.But I guess that is because of popularity. Kitchen is open, and bathrooms are clean. They are keen to make sure you feelspecial if celebrating something. Amazing find and rec by a friend!!

Our experience was amazing. Our waitress was Sarah Michael ….. and she was one of the best servers I’ve ever had. Her suggestions were spot on. We took my mother there for her 82nd birthday and she said it was her Best Birthday EVER !!! The portions were huge, so we left with enough to have a second meal. I can’t wait to go back ….. maybe I’ll have room for dessert!
I wish I had taken more photos- but it was too delicious to wait! We had a double date with friends and enjoyed the food, atmosphere, and friendly and attentive staff immensely. Eddie and Stephen were phenomenal, made fantastic suggestions and weenjoyed every bite! The steaks were cooked to perfection and all and all I cannot wait to return ??
Our hostess Shannon was courteous and helpful!! We had the most delicious filet migon and rib-eyes. Our service could have not have been better. Definitely would recommend! The vibes were there, except for the couple making out behind us
Ricky was incredible and he makes the best sweet tea! If you haven't tried the business lunch it's the best deal in town!! $30 for salad, meat, and a side!
