The restaurant claims to mark all items containing gluten on the menu. However, when I inquired about this while placing my order, I was told that some additional dishes contain flour but aren’t clearly indicated. I ordered items that I was assured were gluten-free and made the waitress aware of my allergy and celiac condition. Based on my reaction to the food, I can only assume there was contamination, if not actual gluten present, despite their assurances. Given this experience, I would not feel safe returning.
The restaurant is located in a stunning building, a former Methodist chapel, which is why they do not serve alcohol. The service was exceptional, and the food was delicious—lighter than typical curry dishes found elsewhere, which made it even more enjoyable. The Karahi dishes were particularly flavorful. Overall, it offers great value and is definitely worth a visit.
Had a lovely meal here last night for our university reunion. Food was lovely and very reasonably priced. Just wanted to say an extra thank you for the amazing service. Two of our party are disabled and you really went out of your way to assist. True gentlemen. Thank you.
The best Indian we have had yet. The nan bread literally falls apart in your mouth and is full of flavour. The prices on the happy hour seem too good to be true, £12.95 includes a curry nan bread poppadoms chutney and a starter. 100% recommended. Extremely nice staff Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
For people who stay in Lancaster, this is one good restaurant. It is located in the Lancaster University itself and it is reasonable and of good taste. Especially for the students (Asian mostly) it is one saviour ! Try the mushroom curry and chicken tikka wrap.
We absolutely love this place! It’s one of the best dining spots in Lancaster. We always receive the warmest welcome, and the staff goes above and beyond to ensure our meals are exceptional. Highly recommended!
Was here with family and friends after a long flight and enjoyed authentic indian food. The curries had a blend of indian and mild western fusion which made it a good fusion experience. Good staff and service.
