The chef at Sun Sun has been at this restaurant for "donkey's" years.The food is just delicious with a mixture of Chinese and Australian style dishes.Watch out for seasonal variations.In December to January you can choose mango prawns or mango chicken, WOW these are favourites and great dishes!!!!!At lunchtime you can get "lunch packs", my favourite is steamed dim sims (a sort of shumai) with fried rice for around $10 takeaway. More to eat in.The ambience and atmosphere are very good for around 30 patrons, and the restaurant does have a separate function room.Highly recommended.
Really really great food , fresh and a great depth of flavour. However, my partner had the short soup and which tasted amazing but she had finished her starter before mine had arrived. The main course also arrived quite quick but tasted amazing. We also had the deep fried ice cream which was really nice. This restaurant is a great local and is really busy with take away orders, the decor is quite dated however its clean with linen table cloths and it was cold in there but it was a really nice meal and the staff were very nice .I would go back to this restaurant.
Hadn’t been back to this restaurant for about a year and what a change a year makes.Treatment on arrival was just downright rude - They should forget about the diners with bookings and just concentrate on takeaways because that's all that was happening that night .. I thought is strange that there were only three tables occupied but by the end of the evening I fully understood why diners had voted with their feet. There was no real "service" and sadly the food had become bland even though the menu indicated a little spice here and there.
Sun Sun has the usual chinese menu, sweet and sour pork, lemon chicken etc but the food is the best version of these old favourites I've had. Size of meals is very good and the quality is excellent. Nothing bland on the menu. Staff are courteous and helpful. Restaurant is kept very clean and nicely decorated - no lino and plastic chairs here.Have been to this restaurant 100s of times and never been disappointed. My recommendation - take the family and try one of their banquets. Excellent value for money.

We ordered one of the super packs - which are a great idea and they are good value and still flexible to the customer. The service was friendly and prompt and the food was hot, fresh and delicious. They added the sauces for the food without being asked and packaged it in an easy-to-carry manner so I could get home quickly. The $48 super pack only just fed 4 people so order more if you have a larger crowd. Overall a great value feed.
For a suburban Chinese place on the north side of Brisbane, you really can't go passed this little gem. Our first time getting takeaway here and the food was very tasty and with a good variety of dishes. Staff were pleasant given the place was packed both eating in and waiting for takeaways. Looking forward to our next meal from here.
We had a lovely meal here, slightly rushed. We were eating the starter when the main course arrived on the table. No chopsticks on the table, I guess you need to request chopsticks. Menu displays public holiday rates. I disapprove of charging extra during public holidays.
My family and I have had take away from here multiple times and have had nothing but great food. The packs are extremely well priced and value for money. If you're ever in the area and looking for good food at a decent price and cooked quickly, try these guys.
