The food, service, and atmosphere was spot on!!! I looked up places to eat at in Clayton while driving through on family vacation. It was a very welcoming, comfortable diner. The food is all made from scratch and can taste it! That was the best pulled pork, coleslaw, tomato cucumber salad and pancake ever had! The huge delicious pancake cost $2! Added it on to try and share with the rest of family. Didn’t even use syrup, they had a local raw honey on table and that was better than any honey I have tasted before so put that on there. Everyone else loved their dishes-especially Mac n cheese! Very creamy and cheesy. Would definitely eat there again if I ever get back out that way.
Found this place on our way back home from the mountains and was blown away! The vibe is seriously giving off Sunday at grandma's. The girls are all so sweet and use all that southern diner slang: sugar, honey, sweetie; definitely reminds me of my grandma and her sisters. They use regular coffee mugs like you would have use in your house that have been collected over the years. The food was amazing to say the very least. The biscuits melt in your mouth and were close to the best I've ever had. The hello dollies we took to go were do decadent and delicious. I can't say enough wonderful things about this place. Just go try it!!
Oh my stars!!! How did we miss finding this jewel? We had breakfast there and it was absolutely delicious. Hubby had pancakes that I had to taste. They were as big as the plate. They were so good. I had scrambled eggs, home fries, biscuit and bacon. Cooked to perfection. I can't wait to go back for lunch or dinner after viewing their menu.They sanitize the table after every customer leaves. The restaurant is spotless. All the servers are just as nice and smiling. It would be very easy to maneuver a wheelchair in the restaurant. Plenty of parking and handicap accessible. Very kid friendly.
This restaurant served us one of the most amazing breakfasts we have ever had! We were greeted warmly upon arrival, placed our simple orders, and our fresh coffee was served promptly. Our breakfasts were probably the largest portions we had ever seen. My wife's plate was piled high with eggs and sausage links, while my pancakes were fluffy and covered the entire plate. We’re always on the lookout for good southern cooking restaurants and just happened upon this one one evening while in Clayton. So glad we did! Husband had chicken fried steak with mashed potatoes and green beans. I had a veggie plate with turnip greens, green beans, blackeyed peas and mashed potatoes with gravy. We enjoyed everything! We’ll be back! I just wish they had fried green tomatoes!
We visited this restaurant and made a spontaneous stop. The staff were extremely friendly. My partner ordered chicken fingers and thoroughly enjoyed them. I opted for chicken fingers with pancakes, which were as large as the plate itself. Make sure to come hungry because I couldn't even finish all of the pancakes!
we enjoyed breakfast this morning. we both ordered omeletts. eat so much that we couldn't finish it! all staff were so friendly..especially the owners, michael christina. they went around to check the customers to make sure they take care of them. great people!
