I brought a Lemon Meringue Pie whilst I was in Castlewellen On Saturday supplied by Sunray Bakery, Whawhoo what can I say. This was the best Lemmon Meringue Pie that I have ever tasted. The Meringue was Super-Soft like I was eating a cloud and the base was really firm in texture and very yummy. The Lemmon filling was Super-Sweet and lovely and tingly on my tiung. I intend to go back to the Castlewellen Fuel Station this Saturday once again and I will differently be buying another Lemmon Meringue Pie from Sunray Bakery. I have been going to Sunray for years and always receive a warm welcome from the lovely staff who treat their customers like family. The prices are great and you can get a variety of options from a full fry to just beans or scrambled eggs on toast, salad bar, daily special, or a pastry and coffee. The kids' meals are also a good deal with friendly service. Sunray is the friendliest and most down-to-earth cafe in Newry, it may not be fancy but the people make it special. You are sure to run into familiar faces and meet new friendly people. The bakery has plenty to offer with delicious bread and pastries. Sunray is truly the friendliest cafe in Newry, well done to the staff!
I went to this restaurant to order a 30th Birthday cake but ended up staying for snacks. The small meal I had was delicious, and the staff were kind, efficient, and well-dressed. The restaurant was clean, and I ordered my cake for the following weekend before leaving. Gary later emailed me to make sure I sent him the photo I wanted on the birthday cake. Without his reminder, I would have forgotten. The cake was not only beautiful but also delicious. Thank you so much, Evelyn Campbell.
I was starving and fancied a late brekky. Had saw the 3.75 offer. One sausage. One bacon. One egg. Beans. Half soda and one potato bread along with small pot of tea. All round good. Breads home baked and fry tasty. Now its not an up market a la carte place but a friendly inexpensive workers type cafe. Recommend it. Got some apple pancakes to take away. Keenly priced. Tasted good but little apple involved. Still nice.

The Sunray bakery is a great little place that some would miss because it's so small. But they do 10/10 fries and always have done. The staff are friendly and would have the craic with a plastic bag if they could! Would prefer their lovely buns over any other bakery in newry too. Been going there since I was small and I'll take my kids too.
It's like being in a country cafe. They all shout at each other and customers with familiarity. They even know my wee dog when I call at front end which sells the bakery products. The Cafe is rough and ready budget grub and does the trick. Seems to have a lot of regulars. I like to visit for fries or sausage rolls or soup etc.
Great selection food at very reasonable prices! All day fry for only £3.75 which includes tea or coffee. Soup and sandwich combo or daily dinner special all for under £5... Very homely atmosphere and great craic between staff and customers! A bakery at the front of shop for fresh bread, scones and buns...
Absolutely love the fries in Sunday!! Absolutely gorgeous and perfect for a miserable day, when I'm looking something tasty and filling. The staff are so polite aswell and always stop to have a chat. Small place but moves quickly enough, will defiantly be back I've been going for over 4/5 years :

Sunday was our place to go for a long time. When our friend told staff, there was a hair on her food, she was told it must be yours . Our friend has black hair, the one on her plate was blonde.
Short an sweet best fry in town and excellent prices. Staff are always on the ball. Always nice to pass the bakery end after a good feed
