The staff appeared to be mostly teenagers or young adults. The young man who greeted us seemed a bit confused about where to seat us and ended up wandering around the restaurant before asking a colleague for assistance. She was clearly busy and replied that he should figure it out himself. Eventually, he seated us and brought over a high chair shortly thereafter. There was a family seated nearby who left abruptly not long after we were seated; I overheard them mention that they were waiting too long for service. However, we were attended to in a reasonable amount of time, so it might have just been a one-off situation for them. The atmosphere felt like any typical sunset grill—cozy and id...
Later, a Filipino couple came in, and Grace took their order while speaking to them in their native language. For the remainder of their visit, they kept glancing at us and appeared upset. I could be mistaken, but I don’t know if it was a racial issue (my grandmother felt that way), but Grace’s behavior was appalling. I’ve been to Sunset Grill many times without any issue, but this was the second time I had encountered poor service from her, and I was not impressed. Grace needs to check her unpleasant attitude at the door or find a different job. Fortunately, the other two young ladies on staff were very helpful and friendly. If it weren't for them, I would never consider dining there again.
Around 12:30 PM, the service was pleasant, but nothing extraordinary. The eggs were freshly made, but unfortunately, the bacon had dried out from being kept warm for too long. The potatoes were also stale and unevenly salted, as if salt was dumped on one end and not the rest. Because of these issues, I'm giving a 3-star rating across the board. I'm sorry, and I hope things improve. Good luck! I will consider returning in the future.
The food is delicious, the prices are reasonable, and the service is excellent. What more could you want? This is a fantastic location. Our meals arrived extremely quickly—within ten minutes, even though the restaurant was busy. If you're considering whether to dine here, just go for it! You won't regret your decision. The atmosphere at this restaurant is pleasantly clean and inviting, making it a perfect place for a breakfast meet-up or brunch. The service was quick, and our waitress was welcoming. We enjoyed a three-egg dish, fluffy blueberry pancakes, crispy bacon, and fresh fruit. I will definitely return here!
The service was exceptional—both prompt and friendly. Our food arrived at the ideal temperature. We particularly loved the salmon dishes, which were very reasonably priced. I will definitely return to try more items on the menu, and I highly recommend this restaurant!
This place serves an excellent breakfast and has a great location! Update: While the food remains traditional, they've added some new items to the menu. However, they definitely need to upgrade the ventilation system.
