After hearing positive reviews about Surly's, we decided to go for dinner. We both ordered the Surly burger which consists of beef, American cheddar, lettuce, tomato, red onion, pickles and surly sauce served on a soft bun. The burger was delicious, beef was cooked medium rare which made it very juicy while the other ingredients were fresh and the sauce complimented the burger nicely for an enjoyable meal.Staff were very friendly and efficient, offering excellent service. This restaurant is also a pub so there's a bar with music playing for people that want to make a night of it there. I highly recommend people visit Surly's!

Ging an einem Samstagabend mit einer großen Gruppe von Menschen dorthin. Das Essen kam nicht zusammen, also mussten manche Leute warten, während andere essen, und das Grill, an dem sie bekannt sind, dass sie ca. eine Stunde dauerte, um herauszufinden. Für den Preis, den sie in Rechnung stellen, erwartete ich ein tolles amerikanisches BBQ, aber das, was herauskam, war unter gewürzt, kalt und nicht den Preis wert.
We started our day celebrating the Biden Harris victory and later enjoyed lunch at Surly's American Tavern, an American-themed pub and restaurant in Surry Hills. We ran into our favorite Kiwi colleagues from the anesthesia department. The sweet potato chips with poutine topping were delicious - crispy chips with a generous serving of cheese curds that were soft and not overly hot.

Really, what is American food ? If it's honest cooking like at Surlys then it has found a home in Sydney. Well combined list including burgers smoked meats and a wonderful range of sides. Staff that make you feel welcome instead of imposing upon their time. All in all a great night out.
My friends and I had a fantastic dinner in a wonderful atmosphere, and all the staff were very helpful. I made a mistake with my order, but they quickly fixed it for free and were very accommodating. I highly recommend the food (especially the buffalo wings) and cocktails.
