Warning!!! I have been spending approximately $250 to $400 per month at this restaurant for the last 5 to 8 visits on average. It has been my go-to spot after working late or coming back from a late flight when I don't feel like cooking. However, in recent months, the average wait time to pick up an order has exceeded 45 minutes and often goes over an hour! I had had surgery and did not feel like cooking. We had my husband and I three rolls of sushi smoky, ebi maki and snow crab. As it was just over 20 we had a free roll of twin salmon as we had a...coupon . All of it was delicious and we could not finish it all. It was ready at the appointed time and they were grateful that we had called ahead and ordered it. It makes life much easier for them. Delicious.
I'm not sure what happened, but this restaurant seems to have lost its top sushi chefs and the quality has declined. I was disappointed to hear that the tempura wasn't crispy because it was mixed with mayo and was too soft. The sushi didn't taste right and the customer service was lacking. What you get at Sushi Shop is good clean quick sushi. The issue is that it is quite expensive for what it is with many quality sushi restaurants all over the West Island. yummy. that said my 12-year-old. we tried the salmon and the thunfish and salmon pot bowls and we are sold on them. they are a bit expensive and the part is not huge, but they are certainly delicious. and the crispy rice is so good. the service is fast and friendly.
This sushi restaurant is tucked away in a strip mall in Saint Charles, but the effort put into decorating the space is evident. The menu is extensive and everything we tried was delicious. Be sure to place your order in advance as they can get quite busy!
