Found this restaurant up a side ally just off Albert and Queens Street. ( Elizabeth Arcade ) We looked at the menu outside and decided to give it a go. As my partner and I had never had Koren before. We were greeted by a friendly female staff member how lead us to a table near the back. The decor was unusual but pleasant to the eye. Some walls had custom made plates with themes of the restaurant on them. It was a Wednesday night and the place was 80% packed. There was a good atmosphere and people well laughing and seem to be in good spirits. The menu was small, which I liked, we were told of the dishes which helped us in what we ordered. The food was excellent, the service was prompt and efficient. This restaurant was very popular, but certainly crowded by people having dinner in a small restaurant, tables on top of each other which made for a lot of background noise. The public bathroom and staff kitchen area which is view able by guests was disturbing to see, certainly below standard-ed and needs cleaning, maintenance and a health and safety inspection this is our only concern. We would visit again if the restaurant was less crowded by perhaps reducing the number of tables and made the bathroom/kitchen cleaner.
Convenient hidden location. I really enjoy the menu and side dish. Every time my girlfriend and I have been there we have received fast service due to the bell system and consistent menu and experience. The atmosphere and music is pleasant and the tables and chairs are big enough for the amount of people they try to seat. We had a missing order and when we belled and asked the lady if the plate was being prepared the lady apologised and gave us a discount on our order, as well as 2 free cans of soft drink as a token of sincerity. Will continue to return as a customer.
I've eaten in quite a few of their outlets and the food is consistently good. Whatever you order comes with delicious sides of pasta salad, eggplant and kimchi which the staff replenish for you if you ask nicely. The stone pot Bi Bim Bap is a showstopper. Also great is a fried pork cutlet with cheese in the middle - its as good as it sounds.

It's a Korean restaurant I went to on purpose after seeing the ratings of Matdongsan, but I'm so sorry that I can't feel the deep taste because it's salty. Personally, it was too salty, so we didn't eat half of it, and all of us just came out. It's a mystery that there are so many people... It's such a pity
on second floor, the place is always busy and crowded, sometimes have to wait but staff are always trying the best to get you a seat.tables are small n close to others. you'll walk out with BBQ smell all over your clothe.But the food is good, serves quick. will be back for food for sure
Good Korean restaurant with a large menu. Prices about $14 for a main serviced with rice and side dishes of kim-chi and pickled potatoes etc. Fast service - tables have a button to call waiters who respond very quickly. A lot of Koreans eat there which is a good sign.
dinner after work on Friday night wanted Aian fusion so decided on this place..chicken rice was not as good as other places the pho soup was just ok being the place was Korean and the service not so freindly no one smiled ..not going again

A disappointing experience. The service was poor. The food was ordinary. One pork dish was almost inedible. A busy place on a Saturday night, but I doubt we'll return.
I finally stopped in to Sushia Izakaya and tried the Salmon
