Where do I even begin? The service from the woman behind the bar was shocking. When I inquired about dairy-free options for my son, I was told that nothing could be modified and that they don't cater to allergies at all! I pointed out the menu's claim that they could accommodate such needs, but my concerns were met with an eye roll. I then tried to order him some chips, but was told they were fried in the same oil as dairy and meat products, and since we are vegetarian, that wouldn't work. I asked about the vegan dishes, only to learn that they are also prepared alongside meat products, so there's no guarantee they would actually be vegan. Uncle, my burger tastes of blood . We were a group of 20 and placed our order days before at the request of the restaurant. Of the 20 meals, all 4 meals of Dirty Burgers were raw as you can see from the photo and the burgers are thin so there is no excuse, 4 other meals were stone cold (cooked but had been left on the pass at least 10 minutes, the mousakka was in an enamel tin but still cold all the way through), all the pie meals arrived but the gravy 5 minutes later. It is clear the kitchen are unable to cope despite having pre ordered everything. The steaks and seabass were fine, presumably the last thing cooked. Turned up in a group of 12 on one of the hottest days of the year. Ordered our food which turned up at the table promptly and all together so no one had to wait. We had a couple of fussy eaters and their meals were perfect and exactly as ordered. Very good value and excellent tasting. Could not recommend highly enough. Awesome A
Was looking to have lunch, however as they opened, a member of staff very rudely stated that they were to busy opening up to take orders at that time, and we'd have to come back and see if they could do it later they suggested an hour)So we went elsewhere, and had a much more pleasant experience in another pub. 4.5 stars. I keep returning because of the friendly staff, delicious food, and the pleasant atmosphere. The menu is a bit limited, but everything is well-prepared. The spacious beer garden, plenty of parking, and the river right next door make it even better. What more could you ask for?
A nice, traditional country pub in a scenic location by the river. Food was good and service was decent. Menu was rather small, but that's usually a good sign as it means the quality is higher.
I stopped by yesterday, December 8, 2022, for a drink as it was my first visit. Unfortunately, I found the bar staff to be rude and rather curt. I won’t be returning.

Pub and restaurant in a beautiful location. Dog friendly. Good ales. Friendly staff. Amazing Sunday Roast!
