I couldn't believe how rundown the place has become. It's dirty and worn out, with staff that appear to be minimum wage workers who are very young. My last visit was around eight years ago, and it seems like it hasn't been maintained or cleaned since then.
This is a well-liked Marstons pub with a menu that is similar to that of the Queens Arms and Bacon Arms in Newbury. It's a pleasant enough venue, but it does show some signs of wear. The menu is typical, and overall, it's a standard experience.
My wife and I dined at the restaurant on Saturday, November 12th, and we thoroughly enjoyed the French Brie and Chorizo burger. The staff were friendly and polite, which added to our positive experience.
