We drove to Acton in hopes of getting a nice meal and cream tea at this Acton Tea Room. We walked in at 1.00pm on a Saturday afternoon, the place was totally empty, we sat down and the waitress brought us the menus. After a few minutes, I realized the only hot food for a vegetarian was the quiche, no problem I'd have that, my husband chose the pasty and soup. The waitress returned to take our order, I ordered the quiche.....sorry there is none, she replied, I can do you a cucumber sandwich. So can I , I thought, I didn't drive 45 mins for a sandwich, so I asked for the raisin sconescream and jam....we don't have any of those either soI just ended up having a cup of tea for my lunch, verydisa...
there is not alot of little tea/coffee shops in Acton, when I discovered Sweet Mollys I was excited, this is one of the best lil specialty shops in town, they have great British fare from Pies to Specialty teas to choose from. (not to mention they won the readers choice award for 2016) the staff was pleasant with me and makes me want to keep going back for my pick me up for the day. I read the other negative review and it doesn't make any sense to me because the staff bends over backwards to serve you. Small family owned business. Always attentive to my requests,. they even put up with my silly sandwich requests :)
Treat your friends to Sweet Molly's Tea Room. This is a quaint & quiet little cafe, whether the occasion is for a bit of lunch (soup, salad, & daily specials; cold & hot sandwiches, British meat pies & quiche) or to a "High Tea". All freshly baked bread & goodies can be purchased in the adjoining "S'Wheat Dreams Bakery" and/or "Sweet Molly's (a British Food Shop) Owner Carrie-Anne Bennie or her helpers will make you feel welcome.
So we're going here all the time. at least once the week. the baked goods are simply phenomenal and so favorable. we also order from here for any function we throw or pot luck we visit. they have a great choice. from British tasty, warm brezels, slums and ice in the season....If they haven't gone, they are missing out Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
Omg this place is a gem their desserts are to die for and the staff are super friendly ... Me and my youngest always go to their tea room and it's so cute my daughter love the atmosphere and gets a kick out of hanging tea and biscuits there ... We go on a monthly bases or at least try to
There is no place better for dessert! The food is delicious and the staff is wonderful. My family loves the tarts and we can't get enough of them!
