Sydelle's Fish and Chips

I have been searching for a good fish and chips for quite some time. Classic fish and chips in Cole harbour used to work until it closed a few years ago. I had heard good things about Sydelles and decided to try it after shopping in Bedford Commons. I was not disappointed. HUGE portions, great prices and quick service. The fish was as close to NFLD fish and chips as you can get. I usually get takeout and make my own dressing at home. Gravy is tasty and plentiful if you get it on the side. Cant say enough about the food and the guy that cooks, does cash and everything else by himself.

Arrived in our motorhome at 5:15 just in time to put in our order and select a table before every table was filled, and there was a lineup!! What more needs to be said about the popularity of this fish place.We shared a 2pc halibut platter with shrimp and scallops for $18.50. Service was fast, food well cooked and piping hot. Our grands had heaps of fried clams.Highly recommended. Go early for s seat.

Ordered fish and chips takeout and it was fantastic. The place isn't much to look at and you may be a little skeptical on the quality, but the food is excellent. Large serving sizes for a very reasonable price. The fish had a good batter, not greasy. The homemade fries and gravy are some of the best we have had. Definitely going to make this a regular spot.

Sydelle's is one of those places that has been around for years and uses fresh seafood and deep fryers to dish up classic battered fish and chips, Atlantic style. It's very rustic - one of those experience places. Don't expect posh surroundings though. Just down home fish and chips, clams, and other deep fried creations.

It doesn't look like much outside or in, but the food is really good. The Fish and Chips( 2 piece) were a good sized portion with the fish being really tender and crunchy as well. My wife had the Avacado Chicken Club and she said it was delicious also. Definately worth searching out to try.

This place is great!! The menu is large for a small diner. Lots of choices. I have eaten here many times and never been disappointed.It is always good. There are healthy choices on the menu and the fish and chips are second to none.Do yourself a favour, try the food here.

Stopped by for a quick lunch en route and wanted a place just off the highway. Excellent fish and chips, not greasy, generous portions, reasonable prices. Nothing fancy but well worth the stop. Very friendly and quick service too!

Great drop in spot for fresh fish, great chips and awesome gravy my daughter tells me! Excellent friendly service and the ice cream hut caps off a great meal.

Went Saturday March 25/2017. Had lunch with my wife. Outstanding food and friendly service. Highly recommend
