My hotel recommended this place. Their recommendations were mostly good, except for this one. I ordered artichoke and low-temperature hake (see photos with a glass of white wine (recommended by the waitress. The artichoke, cooked in the local Córdoba way, was excellent and the portion was generous. But the hake was a let down. It smelled fishy and the accompanying vegetables were not very fresh. They were not very inventive, just carrot and broccoli, but it would have been ok had they been at least fresh. The bit of mashed potato was just alright, nothing to crow about. This was a bit surprising as at Spanish restaurants of this price point, at the very least, the main dish is quite decent....
Disappointment. Such high ratings and this was the poorest experience in Córdoba. We ordered a menu del día for my wife, which wasn't bad in quality(salmorejo and bacalao) but the serving size was ridiculous, you can tell by the pictures. The dessert really sweet and again a tiny serving size. But the worst part were the Carta dishes: soggy alcachofas for 14€ and TWO pieces of rabo de toro, which couldn't be shreded with a fork. This meat should be tender as butter and flavourful. They charged us 22€ for it, Didn't make any sense according to the other restaurants we visited. 36€ for two mediocre dishes. On the other hand the place was beautiful and the staff friendly.
We absolutely loved everything about this restaurant… the atmosphere, the service and the incredible food. We’ve been traveling around Spain since March 14 and this was our best meal yet!!!
