As one of the most highly praised restaurants in North End, Table sets a high bar for contemporary Italian dining. Given that they charge a price tag of a tasting menu for seemingly simple Italian dishes, I was hoping to discover more on my recent visit. However, the overall dining experience wasn’t worth the hype. We were initially intrigued by their emphasis on communal atmosphere. Sitting around a big table was an interesting concept, but it seemed a bit exaggerated as we rarely had chances to interact with other diners nor our servers. Take a seat at the table! Honestly, this is the first multi course meal where I've left fully stuffed. They do not skimp on the portion size at all and I had a full blown food baby belly when I left. We came here on a Friday because we were moving out of the area and wanted a true Italian North end experience. 5 stars for the friendly servers. They took care of us all night. 5 stars for the octopus appetizer. It was perfect. Crispy on the outside without being rubbery. I've never had better!! I have been meaning to try Table for a long time. I’m now kicking myself for waiting so long. Everything was absolutely fantastic! The food, the decor, the ambiance, the service, all were first class. I loved the communal dining aspect and it was fun to make new friends anticipating each upcoming delicious dish. One gentleman near by remarked that it was “the best chicken” he’s ever had. It takes true culinary skill take such a common item like chicken and make it spectacular. I will be back soon, and again and again… I simply cannot recommend the place enough!
We have been dying to get in here and we finally did yesterday!!! First of all, this isn’t just a restaurant, it is an experience! Every single detail was a 10 from the service, the fabulous owner, the atmosphere, the drinks and THE FOOD!!!! We were amazed! The BEST chicken cutlets we have ever had. We cannot wait to go back again (and again! Jen, thank you for your wonderful hospitality and taking the time to chat with us and to ensure we had a wonderful time! Every second of the evening at Table was incredible. What Jen Royle has created is unique and every attention to detail has been met. Each bite of each morsel of food was delicious and perfectly cooked. The atmosphere, the decor, the staff, and the food, all top notch. It is clear when someone loves and has passion for what they do. Jen’s passion shines through in every aspect of Table. I look forward to my next experience. If you have not tried it yet, it’s a must. You won’t be disappointed.
I recently rented out Table Boston for a corporate event for customers from all over the country. I have NEVER had such amazing feedback from this North End experience we provided our invitees. The atmosphere, the food, the staff...all impeccable. Jen has created a space that is so warm and inviting that you literally feel like you are with family. Will be back- again and again! In the meantime, will dream about the bread , the meatball, the desert....etc! Thank you Table Boston!
My husband and I had amazing dinner there with coworkers and enjoyed every bit of our food and drink experience including the service the atmosphere and the delicious wine. The bread, homemade meatballs, short rib raviolis , octopus, and dessert were just to dream about. a week later I went to the market that Jen owns just to pick up more bread and cheese and desserts for New Year’s Eve celebration.
My husband and I are total foodies and have lived in Boston for 8 years. We have tried numerous restaurant throughout the city. I am going to make a bold statement, Table has some of the best food in Boston! The family style serving and table setup made this experience so fun and unique. Been dying to try this unique restaurant for quite some time now!! I went for Sunday Supper (you definitely need to come hungry! and was blown away by every dish. You can tell Jen pours her heart and soul into every detail of every dish. 10/10 experience and can’t wait to come back!
