My daughter and I have dined at this restaurant twice. I ordered the shrimp tempura udon both times, while she had the spicy pork and tried the udon during our second visit. Both dishes were really good. On our second visit, I tried the creamy crab croquettes, but unfortunately, they were not a hit. I also had a sake flight and realized it’s definitely an acquired taste. The water was as excellent as promised. Our servers were attentive and had a good sense of when we needed something at both visits. However, it is a bit pricey for a quick lunch; we spent $65, including a $15 tip. One downside is that the restaurant is too dark, which was the case both times we visited.
We had a wonderful experience today. We arrived just before the end of happy hour and decided to try four different appetizers: spring rolls (which were decent but nothing extraordinary), shumai (very good), gyoza (delicious and well-prepared), and calamari (enough to consider ordering again next time). For our main course, we both chose the Spicy Miso Ramen, and we were pleased with it. The broth was flavorful, and the ramen was cooked perfectly. I personally would have preferred a bit more heat, but that's just my taste. The highlight of our dinner was our waitress, who was incredibly attentive, polite, friendly, and professional. We definitely plan to return!
I've visited their original restaurant on W Broad St. multiple times, so I was really excited to try their new location in Westchester Commons! Our server checked in with us about the food, mentioning that they had just opened a few days earlier and were still getting everything organized. We ordered the chicken teriyaki don, okonomiyaki, classic ramen, and a poke bowl, and they were all just as delicious as at the first location. I will definitely be returning!
I ordered the miso ramen, and it was fantastic! The pork in the ramen made it exceptional—so tender and flavorful. The prices were what I expected, and I've definitely been to other places that charge the same but serve lesser quality food. If you're in the mood for ramen, you should definitely check this place out. My wife and I had lunch at this restaurant yesterday on a Saturday, and we were immediately seated upon entering. The decor, staff, ambiance, and especially the food were all fantastic! Our waitress was friendly and addressed all our inquiries. We ordered soup and shared a dessert, both of which were delicious, leaving us with big smiles on our way home. If you're in the area and looking for a great place to eat, definitely consider dining here!
