This Thai place was on my to visit list for some time but I was never hungry each time I drove by! Therefore, I was glad when I had the opportunity to drop by for lunch when hunger set in. It's a very humble-looking place from the outside. You might not even notice it driving by. Inside though, it is decorated like a few small places I have seen in Bangkok. The service was friendly and prompt. It appeared that everyone working out front as well in the kitchen were Thai...a good sign when it comes to more authentically prepared dishes. I tried the green curry (kaeng khiew waan), spring rolls, and the green papaya salad. All were very good in terms of taste. One minor thing is that the serving...
It was not very nice experience because expectation was too high. Tried Lot of dishes and the review as below: Pad Thai-all the noodles sticky and too soft; Green Curry- oily and tough beef; Sticky Mango-the sticky rice was totally a massy; Tom Yum soup- the only authentic Thai dish we ever took for this restaurant. And I also informed the waiter about “Thai spicy” level, maybe I was not get by them. The Pad Thai and curry is very sweet. Seemly they changed a lot to suit the local people. Sorry it was totally not right Taste and doubt how the goods reviews coming from?
The fact that there are ANY negative reviews of this place is ridiculous! Been coming here for years and can say wholeheartedly it's one of the best restaurants in Vancouver. A total hidden gem and a real asset to this neighbourhood. The food is consistent and always flavourful (I've tried pretty much the whole menu by now), the prices are very reasonable and the service is friendly and efficient. Don't listen to haters, this place is legit.
Terrible, stingy sized portions. We were craving Pad thai. Was average or under. What was really beyond dissapoinment was calamari. Couple rings in a full takeout box with full size pricing. The best Panang curry and coconut rice I ever had.. We went there right before they closing and I was bit surprised the way owner was behaving she was rushing us to order the food while we were sitting on table but server was nice she was understanding
Delicious pad thai and spring roll. Waitress was understanding about my plant-based diet, and took initiatives to ask me if ingredients from my order would be ok. Would highly recommend this place.
Great Thai food. Smaller servings but hey, we're all too fat anyway. Thanks for a great dinner.
