I think this place has recently been taken over by new owners. eating is nothing less fabulous. the satay is cooked in the traditional hot coal method, the balinese chicken is very tasty, the nasi goreng gets lace marks and the salads are just the freshest they get everywhere. the staff is friendly and helpful. yes, it is a whole 10 meters from the beaten away and up some steps, but really they should try this place. can be quiet, but at least they can hear each other talking. byo makes it a winner. Visited the Tamarind based on a recommendation from a friend. I was not disappointed. The food was fantastic and the service friendly and warm. Every dish was fresh and flavoursome. I will be a regular from now on. It was also very good value.

two nights here. quiet and somewhat cool, but the service and eating as shown in the photos was first class. byo and very reasonable prices a big plus also . should they keep quiet about this restaurant so that we can always get in.

pricey foods that are not so good on taste or ambiente. the summer seats are uncomfortable, the restaurant has only two tables in the air conditioning. the seafood lacsa noodles were terrible, could not even end the portion.
