I visited my best friend, and we arrived at this charming restaurant on a sunny Friday afternoon. As a craftsman, I was not disappointed! The retro atmosphere and quirky interior were fantastic. Additionally, the selection of beers brewed at the nearby Nene Valley Brewery—which I own—was a delightful surprise. I can't believe it took me this long to discover this hidden gem, just 15 minutes from Peterborough. I can't wait to come back!
The restaurant has a quirky and welcoming vibe, with helpful staff. The outdoor spaces are beautiful, including a half-outdoor area. I was particularly impressed by their "swap" ethics, where they offer credit for naming seasonal, local products for the bar or restaurant—what a great idea! We initially only considered having a beer, but I would definitely return for a full meal.
My wife and kids visited this restaurant on a Monday night. The atmosphere was enjoyable and lively, striking the right balance between entertaining and comfortable. Our waitress, Daisy, was fantastic, and the bar served excellent drinks. The food was top-notch as well. I appreciated the straightforward daily menus, and everything we ordered arrived hot and fresh.
Great place to eat! They’ve got a delicious variety of foods, which all pair nicely with local or house made beers. I’ve got a penchant for sweets and their pudding selection did not disappoint.
