We took a wrong exit and ended up at this restaurant for lunch. There were several locals so we thought it would be a safe bet. We ordered a variety of traditional tacos, a chimichanga smothered in white queso, and a ceviche tostada. Although it wasn't what I intended to order, the chimichanga tasted great. I asked for beef and cheese and made the mistake of assuming it would be ground beef. What came out was half steak and half shredded chicken. I have no idea how chicken was part the equation. Every table was dirty, and there was food scattered all over the floors. Despite the uncleanliness, I decided to give this place a chance for my first visit. I won't be returning! I ordered three enchiladas: two beef and one cheese, along with black beans and rice—no salad. What I received was a complete mess; it looked like a jumbled heap of food. The cheese enchilada was barely visible beneath a pile of lettuce. The presentation was terrible! Moreover, the meat seemed to be partially undercooked. It was absolutely disgusting! Then, he started cleaning the bathroom with the door open, which was pretty unpleasant, and wheeled a bucket of dirty mop water past our table—eww. A few customers came in and sat down, and the server went back to the kitchen to serve them after cleaning the bathroom. We left about half an hour before closing, so he definitely had time to clean properly. After we left, we noticed he was already starting to put up chairs and clean up. I usually don't leave negative reviews, and I'm not someone who tends to complain, but I felt this needed to be shared.
They gave me some weird meat instead of “carne asada” which is steak. They gave me some pulled pork or something different ! When confronted and shown pictures of how asada looks they said they wouldn’t replace my food. When I said this isn’t steak they responded by saying they would give me chicken without tortillas …. I stopped by this taqueria a few weeks ago. I wanted to pick up a quick something to eat that wouldn't be too filling before going to an early dinner. I got 3 tacos. Let me clarify that I just spent 7 years in LA, that is notorious for small portion size where I could easily throw back 3-4 tacos and not be stuffed. These tacos were huge, I would have been full by 2 tacos and was stuffed with 3 tacos.
I got a small guacamole to try and queso. Especially loved their chunky with tomatoes and onion guac. Queso, white white cheese was really good, chips and salsa all good. Best taco I’ve found so far, rice and beans bland. Huge serving of 3 enchiladas. Took home.
Food is good but the kid serving was rude and racist. I guess we were inconveniencing him by ordering food. Learn to treat your customers with respect especially when they were kind to you.
The corn tortillas held up surprisingly well—believe it or not! I'm not sure who Julio is, but he must be magical. Overall, I’d rate it a perfect 10/10. Food: 5/5. Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
We stopped here and three different kinds of their tacos. All 3 of them were the best I've ever had to eat. It should be on your list to try if you like tacos.
