Went for breakfast on the weekend. They had a nice big sign saying Breakfast deal bacon and egg roll coffee for When the waitress came over, we specifically asked for two of your breakfast deals you have advertised out there and also ordered...other pastries. The waitress said ok no problem The brekky rolls were a bit burnt and dry, but hey, for you can't have huge expectations. To our surprise at the time of paying for breakfast the bill showed for each brekky roll plus for each coffee!!!! When we questioned it, the lady at the counter simply said oh, no that deal is only for takeaway.. . Ridiculous scam. Following a useless exchange of views, with our old getting anxious we paid and left....
after eating somewhere else to the cake and coffee added dropwise. I checked the cakes in the front display cabinet, but the name tags did not exactly match the cake on the show. I asked for a table for one and was shown on the back of the caffe. I asked what kind of cake she and the waitress insisted that I choose one from the display case. I and I ordered a carrot cake and a big cappuccino. the carrot cake torte had layers of cream cheese and sulfanas and wrinkles in the cake. Unfortunately, the cake was stone and hard. the cream cheese was nice and it made the cake to consume tolerable. I thought that could be why there was no sign for this cake. Anyway, it is a common problem in City Caf...
Purchased a tofu baguette towards the end of the day. Baguette was fine although tofu a little soggy. After purchasing my mum and I sat down at the table to eat. One of the staff members advised me I was not allowed to sit there...as I had ordered takeaway (I was never given the option to ask for eat in). I asked if she could then bring me a plate. She said she couldn't as it would incur an extra cost. I asked if an exception could be made as I am months pregnant, it was not busy and there were many tables available but the lady refused so my mum and I had to leave. I was really disappointed and disheartened by the service and will never go back.
we were in the cbd and felt like a very light lunch. so many places give them a sandwich with inedible decorations and invite them a small wealth, but taste baguette makes wonderful Portuguese chicken baguettes without the unwanted extras, all at an excellent price. Perfect....We found the service very well and the atmosphere fresh and cheerful. very glad we found it.

My mum spotted the watermelon cake, a concept which taste baguette perhaps has stolen from Black Star (we wanted to have it earlier the day but the queue scared us away) and it was terrible(soggy bottom, watermelon did not blend well with the rest of...cake so took it out and ate it separately). Would come again for their green tea latte though!
We pop in here often for brunch. Last time we had raisin toast and chilli egg and both were tasty. The service is friendly and efficient and the location is convenient for shopping at Westfields. It is hidden up the back between the DJ's food...hall and the Oxfam shop.
I have ordered a pesto chicken salad as a takeaway and rushed back to my office to have my lunch. The salad was so bad all ththe chicken pieces were burned and tasted bitter. NEVER AGAIN!!! Plus the service is unfriendly
this is a DIRTY cafe and the employees are incredibly rude, they screw up their order and then abuse it!!! the service is very slow and eating is too expensive. go somewhere else.

Fresh..simple...inexpensive...delicious coffee Ample seating out back. Freshly renovated. Toilets clean and large. Staff polite and inviting.
beautiful little hidden place in the westfield. it wasn't too busy even though it was a Saturday. coffee was ok cake was really good.
