I went to taste and had an anaphylactic reaction. I ordered a smoothie and a salad and informed the cashier that I had a severe allergy to all nuts. She said okay . Usually if a place can not guarantee that there will be no cross contamination they say this when I place an order or there is a sign up. TASTE did not have or do either. I sat down and ate my food, and after one sip of my smoothie I knew something was wrong. I called 911 and as I waited outside struggling to breathe a firetruck and ambulance pulled into the parking lot. Everyone working there is super nice, and the ingredients they use are great. I 'm vegetarian and had the Queen Anne, which was so yummy. Each ingredient was so good just simply wish they had a little more protein based options (like a nice tofu or seitan centered melt or something for when I want a meaty sandwich. All of their marketplace items are awesome (a little pricey but it 's good quality), I grabbed some vegan gummies from their brand when I was leaving and they were great! Bonus points for the fancy soda fountain. Also, my omnivorous family loved all of their sandwiches!
Unfortunately what once made this place great 10-15 years ago has really lost a lot of its magic. Still a fun little place as a tourist but be warned portions have gotten much smaller and service is not quite the homey atmosphere it once was. Shore drive is pretty hit or miss if you can put an order in online. From the days of only being able to call them to now not even taking orders over the phone this place has gone pretty corporate. Hot House is still banging though.
This place was good. Everyone was courteous, but they seemed overly busy. 35 minute wait for sandwiches is a bit intense, but we weren't in a hurry. I just wonder about a bottleneck in the process somewhere that slows things down. Who knows! It doesn't matter though because I gave them 5 stars overall anyway. Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
Quality products, but lacking in legitimate vegan and vegetarian options. Peanut butter and jelly being on the vegetarian menu is almost insulting. Despite that shortcoming, I do appreciate their variety, freshness and uniqueness.
Outstanding as always! We get the princess anne and take it with a bag of chips, to go. The sodas are lovely, too! Our sandwiches are consistently AMAZING and the service is always warm and friendly.
Amazing place to grab a high quality sandwich or salad, fun variety of chips and the absolute best desserts. (Looking at you spotted cow brownie!
