Not a good experience, the waiters weren 't very customer friendly. I asked if any of the dishes we had chosen had MSG in, he replied MSG? as though he had never heard of It! I replied 'monosodium glutamate, as it makes us very sick '. His response was a flick of the arm, a turn away of the head, and a big NO.. I asked because like Chinese restaurants, now Indian restaurants use this flavour enhancer in their cooking. So I believed him...the food was very average...but, what a night we have had..griping pains, acid burning in the Digestive tract...and the trots..I still don 't feel good this morning..all the signs of when we have MSG. I 've asked at other Indians in sowerby bridge, and they...
I ordered from this restaurant through Just Eat, despite having to pay a service fee and a delivery charge. However, the restaurant did not prepare my order until I called them directly (since the number provided by Just Eat did not work). After calling again to inquire about my delivery, it finally arrived after 2 hours, cold and not very appetizing. The restaurant did not apologize for the delay, but instead told me not to use Just Eat next time and offered a 50% discount on my next order. I was not interested in this offer and requested a refund for my current order. It is frustrating that the restaurant chose to affiliate with Just Eat but failed to deliver on their end of the agreement....
This restaurant is well worth a try if you want to try something that’s a little different. I’ve just had the chicken livers starter and pheasant with ginger main course. Both were very good with plenty of different herbs and spices. It’s certainly different to the main stream restaurants and worth trying if you fancy a change from the normal. The interior and exterior decor doesn’t do justice to the cuisine but don't let that put you off.
This place has gone down hill quicker than an Olympic skier Fish starter was inedible went straight back to kitchen, bhajis was greasy For main we ordered mix balti but they forgot to add the lamb peppers and onions just came in a thick sludgy sauce Waiter disinterested obviously did not charge us because we had not eaten anything but recommended us to go to the Indian opposite????? Warning: Do not order takeout from Taste of India. We paid £1.70 per roti, which arrived uncooked and had to be finished in a pan just to make them edible. The chicken and mince curry were incredibly dry, almost like they came out of a tin. When we spoke to the manager, Ali, he suggested we complain through Uber Eats. This was such a disappointing experience that we felt compelled to warn others.
I thought another Indian restaurant in SB would struggle against the competition, but it's fantastic: the second best after Syhiba. (No shame there, Syhiba is a truly top-end culinary experience). It achieves this because of all the original delicious choices. Especially love the game options.
My second visit to this excellent restaurant. Delicious, authentic Indian food served by the most friendly and accommodating staff, Naz was again taking care of us. The chef even presented my friend with a surprise birthday cake. Look forward to another visit soon.
The Chicken Tikka Masala was amazing, the Kulcha Naan was the best I've ever had. They had a wide variety of drinks to choose from, and at the end we were pleasantly surprised with complimentary sweets and hot towels. Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
