We enjoyed dinner at this oldtime Greek restaurant in downtown New Westminster for the first time in years. It was a delight. The service was excellent. A very quiet night and I think our server was the owner. He was so friendly and informative about both the beverage and dinner menus. The three of us enjoyed Retsina and Merlot, and roast lamb and vegetarian moussaka.All were excellent. The dinners were filling but we still had room to share a house made baklava. Delicious . This will be our goto Greek restaurant now.
My husband I love Greek food and Taverna Greka, met all our expectations. Starting with Julie our charming and most helpful Maitre D'. Very generous, sharable portions and fairly priced. We tried the Saganaki and Taramosalata: appetizing presentation and savory. As for the lamb and chicken skewers , the meats were tender, flavorful and so aromatic! Julie suggested EKMEK, for dessert...Heavenly!
Amazing dining experience, warm really friendly attentive staff, friendly patrons, good food. Alex thanks for taking care of my little one and all the staff entertaining the 2 year old running around the place. Moussaka was amazing.
My friend took me there for dinner and I found the bread was very hard and not fresh at all. I ordered the roast lamb and calamari and the portion were quite small. Atmosphere was nice though. Will I go back again? Probably not!
