Service is slow here. I was there during the FEQ (Festival d'ete de Quebec) and it was busy, but not busy in the sense that people needed the server, just lots of people on the patio doing their thing. My server was in no rush to work though. It took almost 20 minutes for my beer to arrive. My nachos were closer to 40 minutes. I had ordered both as soon as my server greeted me as I was planning to meet someone after. I was just trying to kill some time. Killing time without a drink on hand at a patio looks just as painful as it sounds. When the nachos finally arrived, they were delicious...a mountain full of delicious meat, chopped veggies and guac, sitting atop some crispy tortilla chips! I...
Strolling down the Grand Alley, we were looking for something casual, outdoor and easy. The Taverne fit the bill. With a classic rock playlist and a nice beer selection we enjoyed an early dinner in a pleasant atmosphere. I had a burger with fries upgraded to poutine ( I'll exercise later)! , my partner had nachos. The food was standard the atmosphere nice. I'd go again.
We came by really late a few nights. Unfortunately, they just stopped serving food but they were very nice in allowing us to bring in fast food so we can sit and drink with them. Very nice servers. Would come back hopefully earlier to eat there also.
friendly bar, with a rock and roll decoration! possibility to eat on site, but not great gastronomy. There is also a beautiful outdoor terrace, so you can enjoy the beautiful days at quebec.
The food was disgusting. The buns burnt, the chicken was processed meat, and the burgers were small. We've had better meals at fast food chains.
