My friend and I had a reservation recently for two for late Sunday brunch. The very young hostess wanted to seat us in the sunny portion of the restaurant. However, my friend is very sensitive to direct sunlight and breaks out in hives when exposed for more than a few minutes. It took a while to get the hostess'attention to make the request to be seated in the covered and darker portion of the restaurant and the hostess seemed to be less than pleased with our simple request when we were finally able to make it. There was a table for two at the very front of the restaurant that had just been vacated. We asked if we could be seated there. We were told yes, but that we would have to wait for it...
We had brunch at Terrain cafe today to celebrate a family birthday. Overall the experience was very good. We sat in the covered patio area. The service was great and our server was very attentive. Everyone liked their entres and desserts. We had a hummus appetizer and it was a little bland. I did not like my ****** Mary at all. They asked if I wanted it mild or spicy and I chose spicy, but what I didn't like about it was that it had a very overpowering taste of what I can only describe as pickle juice. My only other minor gripes is that I found the wooden slatted chairs uncomfortable and the room nearly full with patrons and was VERY noisy. They could really benefitby adding from some sound...

Ordered a wild mushroom frittata with a side salad. The only mushrooms in my dish were presliced white buttons from the grocery. The salad was an expired bag mix, half rotten and inedible. Brought it up to our server and they just said oooooh yeah... before walking away. The bread is still delicious. I 'm not sure what happened to this place. It used to be great. We just dined here for the first time. It's a beautiful restaurant. Our food was very good . The cheese board was excellent. I had the scallops, my wife, the shrimp dish. We enjoyed both. What made our experience even better was our server, Quinn. She was so sweet and attentive. Quinn is what every server should strive to be. After our meal, we sat at the bar. The bar staff was also great!
We absolutely love Terrain, the garden center is our primary go to and have yet to try their cafe. But their pricing on plants, pots and all the extras is extremely fair and the quality of their plants is spectacular. One of the few garden centers I can find healthy carnivorous plants and the bug away incense sticks. They're absolute life savers!
I absolutely love this restaurant. The decor and the food is amazing. The manager Drew and the hostess station girls and waitresses were fabulous.
