My friend and I enjoyed a wonderful lunch at Terroir Auburn. I'd seen it on Andy and Ben Eat Australia and added it immediately to our Clare Valley itinerary! It's a Locavore restaurant serving only dishes prepared from what's available locally and fresh on the day. I had booked (always a good idea in the Clare Valley). The food was excellent so was the wine. Service was very personable. There was not a lot else happening in Auburn on this Sunday, but Terroir made it worth the stop. A lovely experience to start our trip!
We were a large table and there seemed to be one chef in the kitchen, and one waiter. I can see how this would be a good romantic-meal-for-two restaurant but don't think it worked well for big groups. The atmosphere was slightly lacking as well. There were elements in the cooking that were lovely but every dish was overcomplicated. Too many different flavours on the plate. We had starters and mains but the mains took so long to come out that I wasn't even hungry when it finally appeared on the table.
Attend at Terroir on Wednesday night looking forward to a great meal. Was greeted at the door and shown to our table. The meal for the night was explained and a wine to go with the meal was recommended, and we were not disappointed. The meal was fantastic and full if local ingredients. I am glad this restaurant was recommended.Staff were attentive and the three course meal was well staggered.This place is a local gem.
We stayed nearby and were told by a number of locals how good this restaurant is. We were not disappointed. Produce is all sourced locally so it is fresh and flavoursome. The dishes we selected were delicious and perfectly cooked and presented. The restaurant has a lovely relaxed atmosphere which made for a lovely evening. Highly recommended.

The wife and I stayed in Auburn over Easter and happened across this amazing restaurant specialising in local produce. Great atmosphere. Great staff and the food was awesome. The wines were excellent - all local. It was truly an experience which was thoroughly enjoyable. A great way to spend a Saturday evening . Highly recommended
Romantic dinner with my wife. Ambience perfect, food is very chic and becoming of a great Paris restaurant. Service is attentive but not overbearing. Fits well with the wine tasting experiences during the day time.
Complex, beautifully integrated flavours. Given the quality of the food and wine this may have been the best value meal I have ever eaten. It was locals night, so maybe the pricing had been adjusted accordingly.
We enjoyed the 4 course degustation, it was absolutely fantastic. Each course was a delight! The waitress was pleasant and the chef took the time to explain each course.

This place is fantastic It's the absolute jewel of the Clare Valley They are so lucky to have these talented chefs there.
