Visited on a Saturday. I ordered the chicken pad thai, spring rolls, and curry potstickers. The potstickers are not on the menu, but they were a staple from the previous owners of Thai Bistro. I did not smell food cooking (pretty good exhaust system in the kitchen) were my thoughts. My to go order was ready within 15mins or so.The spring rolls (2) are small, comes with plum sauce, and tasted like a frozen variety, potstickers are NOT the same as the previous potstickers, the curry sauce comes on the side, it is very thin and did not coat the potstickers at all. The pad thai was just ok, but plenty for a lunch portion. I ordered spice level 2 out of 10 and it did have a nice kick to it. Visit...
My husband and I dined here tonight, and I ordered the Pad Thai along with a Thai coffee. Unfortunately, I can hardly review the food due to a truly unsettling experience. In my coffee, I discovered something long and slimy that I can't quite identify. I was so disturbed that a bit of it ended up in my mouth, forcing me to spit it out. It was black, translucent, and incredibly slimy—my first thought was that it might be some sort of bug. I am writing this review feeling very upset, and we are now debating what our next steps should be. I suggest eating here at your own risk. This incident has been one of the most repulsive experiences I've encountered at any restaurant.
It surprises me that the reviews and photos I've seen don’t match the actual food served. Is it really that difficult to maintain consistency and produce high-quality dishes? Many restaurants seem to struggle in this area. I get that they aren’t Michelin-star establishments, but if they could serve good food and provide solid service consistently, they might earn similar praise. Word of mouth is incredibly powerful. If a small restaurant in a less upscale neighborhood can consistently deliver great food, their efforts will surely pay off. A positive attitude and mentality are crucial. If more food businesses recognized this, they would likely see substantial growth.
I frequently order from Thai Bistro, but my last experience was disappointing. While I can handle a lot of spice, my recent meal was far too spicy, despite my request for no spice at all. When I called to address the issue, the staff member I spoke with mentioned that it was prepared fresh that day. Consistency is crucial, especially for meals costing $14 a bowl. I'm compelled to give just one star today; I wish I could award half a star instead. Unfortunately, neither my kids nor I could enjoy our $50 meal. This charming bistro offers excellent service and quick food delivery. My meal came with a soup and an egg roll, which was a nice touch. The fresh spring rolls were delicious and larger than what I usually find. The peanut sauce was tasty but a bit sweet and chunky for my taste. The Pad Thai was enjoyable, though it could use a bit more flavor. I appreciated the option of glass noodles. I didn’t specify the heat level, but adding the peanut sauce helped balance the dish perfectly.
With two locations in downtown and Bartlett, Thai Bistro fills the void left by the closures of Bhan Thai and Thai Basil. During this visit, we tried the Green Curry Chicken and the Pad Thai Tofu, both of which were excellent. Each dish came with complimentary soup and spring rolls! We also ordered a side of fried rice, which was rich and flavorful. I would highly recommend this restaurant to Thai food enthusiasts seeking a relaxing dining experience.
The restaurant's website describes the Pad as thin rice noodles stir-fried with bean sprouts, eggs, and green onions in a homemade tamarind sauce, then topped with ground peanuts, shredded carrots, and cabbage. However, as you can see in my photo, what I received was the worst Pad Thai I've ever had.
Spice level is top notch, go easy when you?re ordering even if you like it spicy, regretted my 8 out of 10 spice choice. Appetizers are good too much oil in rolls, pad Thai and basil fried rice are good. Can visit for sure Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
There are not a lot of Thai restaurants in the area so I?m glad they have this one opened. The staff is nice and the Thai tea is delicious. I haven?t tried all their dishes but the dish I had was ok.
